Working with international journalists is one of the best parts of my job, so it was great to work with Medical Device Asia recently on behalf of two of my clients.
UK pressure relief specialist Rober has a history of helping patients around the globe to be pressure ulcer free. After recently exhibiting its pioneering cost effective AirFlex® range at Medical Fair Asia, the company is delighted to be featured in the latest edition of magazine.
The article explains how Rober, who design and manufactures all their products in Chesterfield, have designed a new cost effective mattress range AirFlex®, to fulfil the requirements of ‘affordable healthcare’.
The AirFlex® mattress range offers vulnerable patients complete pressure elimination at regular intervals, thus preventing pressure ulcers from occurring.
The pioneering technology also includes therapeutic properties, which help to heal existing injuries. It also supports nursing teams and helps them to better manage their patients, saving valuable time and resources.
Manchester based Zilico’s Indian pilot study was also featured in the magazine. Patients across Mumbai are being recruited to take part in a study, which aims to increase early detection of cervical cancer and quickly enable treatment.
The study is funded by the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and uses ZedScan™, to detect the development of pre-cancerous abnormalities of the cervix.
