Around 500 young people aged between 13 and 24 years old, will be spending Christmas in hospital this year fighting for their lives, rather than being with their families and friends at home.
This is the reason why The Laura Cane Youth Cancer Trust run their annual ‘Gifts 4 Christmas’ appeal to make sure each one of these young people receive special gifts personally delivered to them on Christmas Day.
To help make this possible though, the charity need support, and are in desperate need of gift donations from individuals, schools, companies and groups.
Gifts can be anything from vouchers, electronics, CDs to DVDs, arts and crafts, games, and selection boxes. Even a notepad, so they can write to loved ones from hospital.
The team at Laura Cane collect, wrap and send each gift donated, making sure every young cancer patient receives age-appropriate surprises to help make Christmas a little more bearable.
So why not buy one extra gift this year and help put a smile on a young person face!
